Civil Engineering Internship  

Michael L. Foster & Associates, Inc. (MLFA) is looking for an Engineering Student who is inspired about building and designing for Alaska’s communities. MLFA was established in Alaska in 1998 with an explicit mission to provide quality engineering, architecture, planning, scientists, surveyors, and general contracting services to Alaska clients with an emphasis on project performance and client satisfaction. MLFA is an Alaskan owned and operated small business.

MLFA provides consulting services for cold regions, sanitary, environmental, and geotechnical engineering for investigation, design and construction projects including dams, mine facilities, pipelines, sanitation facilities, buildings, and other civil structures. Our expertise includes the preparation of documents for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste (HTRW) investigations; geodetic surveys and mapping; sanitation facilities planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance; and litigation support. Our highly qualified team of professionals has experience providing planning services for grant applications and business plans, feasibility studies and master plans, environmental planning (CEs, EAs, and EISs), public involvement programs, conceptual designs, and permitting. Our construction experience includes final designs and specifications, remote construction logistics, construction management, design/build, general contracting, construction surveys, as-built drawings and reports, and facility operation and maintenance.
